Yale lock eats batteries. Connectivity issues when battery listed as ok

Been having connectivity issues since new. After a while, it keeps locking itself. Traced it to intermittent connectivity due to low battery.

Top quality Duracell batteries last only 4 months. Absolutely no warning each time. I just find it starts ignoring home/away and locking the door.

The batteries always show as "OK". No low battery warnings.

Plus, why the hell don't you make a UK accent available for mine? (It was bought in the US)

No Duracell.  Nest products only like energizer max. It’s all over the google support website.  Bunny batteries only.  Try that and see if it resolves your issue

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I wanted to make sure that your concern was acknowledged. @S3bryan is correct, only Energizer Max batteries should be used in the Yale lock.

Best Regards,

Brad.

I haven't really had an answer. Using a particular brand of battery is not a solution.

All batteries provide power. For AAs it is usually 1.6 volts when new, reducing to 1 volt when old. If any battery is too weak to work, I should be alerted. The lock is not doing this.

If the lock can't connect due to low battery, I should be alerted, no matter what brand of battery is in there

I have multiple Gail nest locks and in an emergency have had to switch to something else besides the energizer max batteries. I get a very short lifespan use of the lock when I do not use energizer batteries. But I do get alerts on the app that the batteries are weak not sure why you are not getting that

Mind to provide some clarity about your previous post? Autolock is a function within the app that can be enabled or disabled

Hey folks.

It is best to make sure that you are using the correct batteries which are Energizer Max batteries. If you are not using those batteries, I would suggest that you change them.

Best regards,

Brad.
