Yale lock not connecting with nest connect - t013

Changed router and all nest devices stopped working. The nest Yale lock will not connect with the nest connect. Thank god the geniuses in marketing called everything super generic names like connect and Wi-Fi, because that makes identifying the problem and troubleshooting infinitely harder!

Ive reset the locks, ive reset the connect, ive reset my router, ive eliminated 5gz band, ive attempted to connect to hot spot (connect conveniently wont connect to hotspot for that hack), ive deleted my house in google home, ive deleted my house in nest app, ive removed all of my devices.

Please give me a solution to use these locks or allow me to return them. Do not reply with the standard troubleshooting documents. I’ve clearly done everything they suggest.

Same issue here.  On my second Next x Yale Lock and no luck connecting the stupid thing -- T013 EVERY. DANG. TIME.  This platform is junk in my opinion.

For anyone that stumbles across this in the future - I had to go out and buy an entirely new router. I guess Google/nest doesn’t want to spend the time/money to test routers to let you know which ones are comparable. I’m sure they think you’ll just run out and pick up a nest mesh system that seems to be overpriced and under delivers from all the reviews.

I made sure to steer way clear of anything nest related for the router. I went with eero and it works.

Hi folks,

Pleasekillme, I appreciate all your efforts here and thanks for updating the Community forum with your resolution.

Wafflebox306, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Let’s get this sorted — a few questions: when did the issue start? What’s the status light of your Nest Connect? How far is your Nest x Yale Lock from the Connect and router? Is your Connect paired to a 5 GHZ or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency? Also, were there any changes to your Wi-Fi network?

Thanks,

JT

Hi!  I created a 2.4 network and added the Nest Connect and lock successfully. Seems to be working like it should now. Thanks!
