Yale says door is blocked

When locking from the outside the Yale will physically locked but it will says that the lock is blocked and cannot lock. When locking from the inside the Yale app shows that the door is not locked and if use the app you’ll hear the locking mechanism moving but it will say the door is blocked. What do I do to remedy this?

Thank you for reaching out and the comprehensive information you've provided. I understand that you are encountering some block issues with your Nest x Yale Lock when you lock from the outside, and when you block inside the Yale app shows that your door is not locked. I'm here to help you and find a solution together.

Please attempt the following steps:

  • With the door open, try to lock via the Keypad again. If the locking mechanism doesn't work with the door open, check the deadbolt alignment and manual operation.

Verify that the lock and unlock command was received.

  • Open the Nest APP
  • Tap Nest x Yale Lock 
  • Tap History

Note this steps requires the Nest x Yale Lock to be online at the time the command was sent
