Hey there,
Like most here, I have a legacy NEST Guard system. I was told that there's a way to send this hardware into Google.
In addition, I've unplugged it and it's running off of battery. I'm afraid it's going to start beeping at me...until I plug it in.
How do I disable it completely in order to ship it out or throw it away, if that's a pain?

Unplug it, take it outside and throw it in the trash, you won’t hear it then

I tried to install my new, cool, piece of .....ADT sensors, etc. yesterday. Of course, there were problems. More on that in another post. I took my Nest Guard out to the garage because it started beeping. After an hour, I could not stand hearing the noise it was making even though it was in the garage. The next idea was to put it in the freezer. Nope. Still heard it. I finally took it to the storage area in the basement and shut the door. I could still hear it but at least it was muffled. Is there a way to turn it off besides hitting it with a hammer? This is irritating.
