Thanks for posting in the Community. I’d be happy to help with your question about the Nest x Yale Lock.

The passcodes for the Nest xYale Lock aren’t erased when the batteries are replaced. Only when the lock is reset to factory defaults are all user passcodes, including the master passcode, are deleted, and all programming features return to their original default settings.
