As an electrical contractor, I get asked a fair amount for Gate entry systems etc. unless you go down a independent access control system, then the options are very limited.
I've not seen this on a google nest app or product, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Wouldn't it be a great option if the google nest hello app had a unlock button that maybe triggers a wireless volt free contact / relay. So, if the door bell is pushed and the homeowner was at home they can view and unlock the gate within the property via a Tablet or Phone. and if they were pulling up at there own gate. just open the gate from there own phone.
This product tweak could be then be used to unlock gates or postage parcel boxes etc. Maybe with an option to add more than one relay devices. so you can unlock a gate, garage door or parcel box. you just name the Tab to suit.
Also, a flat wall mount frame that a tablet can be housed or slide into, with rear cable connection / feed.
so, on larger houses they can have a fixed screen on the walls in the Kitchen, master bedroom or landing etc.

Hello @DaveHob ,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your request. Currently, there is no provision by Google Nest Ecosystem to support this feature. However, there are some third party companies who have this capability and they do integrate with out Smart Home Ecosystem. I would recommend opening up a feature request in this regard on the public issue tracker. We, can forward your request to the internal engineering and product team. We will keep you posted once we have an update from them about the future of this feature.
