I hope you can help me, I recently purchased a Google speaker 2nd Gen which I want to set up. However when I try to do that via my Google Nest mesh, I get an error message that tells me to turn off ap isolation
I can't find the setting in my Google Home app to disable AP isolation and I don't think this exists. The choices I have in Advanced Settings in the Home App are:
Network Configuation:
Within those setting headings the choice to change AP Isolation does not exist. UPnP is enabled, IPv6 is not enabled,
It's a brand new speaker straight out the box and we have Google mesh WiFi in the house and have already set up other Google speakers on the WiFi network.

Hi Jean12,
Thank you for reaching out to our community.
I’m sorry to hear that you can’t find the setting in your Google Home app to disable AP isolation, as it is required when you try to set up your Google speaker 2nd Gen, even though you already tried to do it through your Google Nest mesh. I would be more than pleased to help you with this inconvenience, so don't worry.
Your Wi-Fi network configuration may prevent devices from communicating with Google streaming devices. In order to resolve this inconvenience, you'll need to disable Access Point (AP) isolation, also known as "client isolation" or "guest mode," on your router.
Please refer to your router documentation to learn how to disable AP isolation or contact your ISP (Internet service provider), so they can guide you to disable the AP isolation mode.
If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us whenever you need it.
Best regards,
Virna
