Alarm volume does not turn up

csdesign73

My question is I used to be able to set an alarm for a certain time and keep my music volume at say 45%. Then when the alarm will go off it would go at 100%. So it would actually wake me up. But for some reason now it does do it sometimes but not all the time. It very rarely turns itself all the way up like it usually did before. I do have a routine where I say a key word That sets up more than one alarm so that way I don't have to say each one individually. I usually have it set to so many hours from when I say it. So it will go off in the future not right away. I noticed that one of the routines that change the amount of time does actually work but if I say it or if I say the other routine it does not work the way it used too. I have checked the settings for the alarm volume and it's completely turned up like it should be for to go off that way. Only. It's not doing that. It's still at whatever the music volume is when I play music in the background while I'm sleeping. So if anybody's got some ideas or suggestions it would definitely help. Thank you very much

Hi csdesign73,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. A couple of things: which Nest speaker? Were there any recent changes made before the issue began? Aside from changing the setting, what other steps have you taken so far?

You can adjust the volume of your alarm again from lowest to highest then do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speakers/ displays for 30 seconds, then do the same thing on your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal. Check the steps below on how to adjust the volume setting.

Change volume of alarms and timers

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app .
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. Tap Settings and then Audio  and then Alarms & timers.
  5. Adjust the volume.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Juni
