Apple Music Hits / One cutting out

If I cast Apple Music One or Hits to my google speaker(s) either by voice or app after a while the music will randomly stop. This doesn’t happen when I play anything else via Apple Music eg playlists or with any other app or radio station any ideas ?

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you're having issues playing music on your Google Home/Nest devices. A few questions: when did the issue start? What specific Google Home/Nest devices do you have? Is it happening to other music services like YouTube Music and Spotify? How far are your devices from the router?

 

Let's try these troubleshooting steps below:

 

  1. Move your Google Home/Nest device within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your speakers and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.

Thanks Muddi, as mentioned this only happens to Apple Music radio (1 or hits) and not any other Apple Music playing such as albums and playlists.  Other services such as Spotify and BBC radio work fine and do not cut out.  I do suspect this is an issue unique to Apple radio playing via google home devices and not my set up, thanks

Thanks for the quick response! I agree with you that this can be an issue with specific Apple Music station/album only and not on the device or music provider. I suggest you try reaching out with Apple Music Support so they can check what's going on with the station. Also, please send feedback via voice command on your Google Home/Nest device by saying "Hey Google, send feedback," then a brief description about the issue. Visit this link for more steps.

Hello , I started with Apple Music, they said that as the radio service works fine eg via their unless I cast it then I should report this to you, thanks

Got it! Could you try using the Google Assistant app on your phone then check if you have the same issue. This will help us further isolate the issue.

I still have the same issue.  If I play Apple radio via my phone it works fine, if I cast to google it cuts out.

I tried chromecasting at a friends house from my phone to their google speaker and the same issue happened with Apple Music 1 ,mI have found that using Bluetooth is an option but the underlying issue remains
