I have a family Apple music subscription. I am able to connect apple music on my Google Home app but my wife is not. She is on the Apple music subscription. All related apps and devices have been updated. Please advise.

A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? Are they playing Apple music when asked to play? Can't your wife request a specific song/artist/genre from Apple Music via voice command? What is the error message?
You can start by adding her as a home member. Follow the steps below:
The person you invite should receive an email with instructions.
Note: If the person you want to invite has already requested to join your home, you need to accept that request instead of sending a new invitation.

Thanks! I have the nest display, nest minis and regular nest speaker in my house. My wife is already in my google home group. She was able to play Apple Music by asking for titles or artists. However she was not able to play playlists. We set up voice recognition for her, so we could make lists etc. but then Apple Music stopped working for her all together. It said she needed to link an Apple Music account in her google home app. That’s where we hit the bump. When we try to link the her Apple Music account on her phone thru google home it says “needs a subscription” In her Apple Music app it says she’s on a family subscription, so it seems google is not recognizing her Apple Music fam sub.
we were able to attach her Spotify account (also a family subscription rooted on me) and that works ok but still won’t play our playlists on spotify either. Thanks for the reply!
