Assistant not working correctly

I seem to be having no end of issues at the moment whereas if I ask (via a speaker)to turn on xxx lights it will say they've not been set up yet or it will turn one out of the 4 lights on. This is happening for different rooms. Sometimes if I try a few mind later it will work but still might only turn 1 light out of 4 on. I've already had to do a full reset on 2 plugs as it stopped working with the for no apparent reason.

Anyone else having these problems,  or how do I get past it without resetting my whole google network.

I have the exact same problem on a Home mini 2nd gen and a Lenovo alarm clock. Randomly when you ask to turn on a light, it plays you a youtube song instead or reply utterly nonsense in another language (I speak to it in french and it replies nonsense in english). Or it replies it cannot connect to the lights (but does the job perfectly).
Worst of it all, if you read on your smartphone the sentense you say is perfectly written on your screen, and if I just unplug all Google Home mini and Lenovo alarm clock, everything runs fine. Resetting devices, removing them from the house or creating a new house just does nothing, problem is identical. I even have the same problems in my car with google assistant on android auto. It's becoming utterly crappy. But it works flawlessly on smartphones (even on my iPhone I do all the time "Hey Siri hey google" to get google assistant instead of **bleep**ty siri.

That happened to me the other night. I asked it to turn on dining room lights and instead it started playing some really random song I'd never heard of. The title didn't even sound like turn on dining room lights lol.

Sorry you're having problems as well but also glad it's not just me. I'm getting so sick of it, I end up swearing at the thing. I've had to start manually switching lights off at the wall which totally defeats the point of smart devices.

The only thing that does not make switch immediately to Amazon or Apple is their devices are even worse... 🤣

My smart home stuff started with Alexa. It was that bad I sold the whole lot within 6 months and went to Google
