Australian release of nest hub app drawer.

Any update on when Australia will be getting the app drawer feature. It has been in the us for a while now and I'd love to have this feature in Australia. At the moment my hubs are basically just glorified picture frames/kitchen timers.

Can someone provide a photo of the exact display you're getting on your Google Nest displays? Also, can you please provide the cast firmware version of it?

 

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings and then Device information.
  5. Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.

We can also try to join the Public preview in the Google Home app and see if this will resolve the issue. The Google Home app Public Preview is an external preview program, open to all, where you can join to get access to and give feedback on upcoming Google Home app features before they’re broadly available to Home app users. 

Customers may join Public Preview to:

 

  1. Receive announcements about new features of the Google Home app.
  2. Get early access to new features before they’re released to everyone.
  3. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the Google Home app.

 

  1. In the Home app , tap Settings .
  2. Select Public Preview and then Join Public Preview.

Keep us posted once you notice any change on its behavior.

I'm confused, is this a solution? Why would a preview program help, isn't this already a public update?
