When I first got the Nest Hub Max, Auto Framing was on by default in Duo calls. In the last several months, Auto Framing defaults to off for Duo calls. Can turn it on during the call, but the setting is not retained. It may remember for the next hour or so, but by the following day am having to walk back up to the display to turn Auto Framing on. It defeats the purpose of voice commands if you have to walk up to the display to turn Auto Framing on.

I’m experiencing the same issue! Beyond frustrated! Has there been any solution identified?

I have the same issue, has anybody had a response from google on this, it is exceptionally annoying?
Make framing and zooming a selling feature then remove it, great idea Google!!!

Hi All,
Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Auto Framing in your Duo calls. I understand your frustration.
As this is a Duo issue, I recommend that you reach out and post this question to the Google Duo Help Community forums, as they have a more in-depth knowledge of duo and its features. Thank you.

I disagree that this is a Duo issue. The camera is part of the Google Hub Max. I never downloaded a Duo app to my Hub, it seems to be integrated into the Hub software. The Duo app/camera on my phone do not do auto framing, so again, appears to be a specific Hub feature.

Concur 100%. This seems like a device software issue or perhaps more specifically the Nest Hub Max instance of DUO.

This now works for me, if I turn it on in Duo during a call it stays on for any future calls.
