For several days I have been unable to access BBC Radio 3 on my Google Nest Smart Speaker. The response is "I can't do that right now". All other BBC Radio services are working normally. I have carried out a factory reset but this has been unsuccessful. I am not the first person to report this issue and it is very frustrating particularly since I make extensive use of Radio 3. Is this a problem caused by Google or the BBC I wonder?

This is not much help to you, but the same thing has happened on my speaker, and also a factory reset hasn't helped

It seems that the BBC itself is aware of this problem, see the attached link:-

Hopefully it can be resolved soon. As the site says it is possible to still cast to the speakers but that is a bit of a clunky workaround.

Me too. I am not very happy that the BBC waited several days before issuing a statement. I wasted a lot of time checking everything (factory resets etc) when it was a BBC problem all along.

I have had the same problem with Radio 3 on all my Nest speakers (I have four) for 5 days now. Other BBC stations are working as normal. This requires urgent attention as it undermines the BBC's current advertising campaign and is therefore a waste of licence fee income, whether the problem lies with the BBC, Google or someone else.

Same problem for me. I suspect Google have done something which prevents Radio 3 playing, and it is not a BBC problem. Interesting that the BBC have issued a statement but complete silence from Google.

After a week of nothing, Radio 3 back working yesterday. BBC/Goggle have not issued any updates.

Hi @CharlesBl
Yes, agreed, now seems to be working OK. Would be interesting if the BBC gave an update into what had caused the problem. Going on past experience update from google rather unlikely.
