BBC World Service STILL doesn't play

Hey,

I live in France and use both English and French.

I know there's a workaround to get to listen to this station. But I wonder when the issue will be fixed for good.

Whatever was the matter with Radio France stations, the trouble was fixed about three weeks ago and I hoped it would be the same result for BBC World Service.

I have the problem on several devices :

1. QP1A.190.190711.020 -- 1.56.285116 -- FR
2. 26.20250116.103.2600 -- 3.76.463359 -- FR
3. 468348 -- 3.75.468348 -- FR
4. 468362 -- 3.75.468362 -- FR

• Home App : 3.32.183.1
• Pixel 7a 5G -- Android 15

When I say "Hey Google play BBC World Service" or "Hey Google mets BBC World Service", the result is  "Streaming KALW from TuneIn". A radio station from the San Francisco Bay Area. https://tunein.com/radio/KALW-917-s31426/

When I say "Hey Google Play BBC News" or "Hey Google joue BBC News", the result is "Here's the latest news from BBC News Summary at 12:06pm today."

BBC World Service is available in France on TuneIn, but it comes and goes. A few minutes ago on my computer, a message said it's not available in my area. Now it is.  https://tunein.com/radio/BBC-World-Service-s322318/

There's also another BBC World Service on TuneIn : https://tunein.com/radio/BBC-World-Service-s50646/

There is a station on TuneIn that functions well. It's a mouthful but works on all devices : BBC World Service News Internet.  https://tunein.com/radio/BBC-World-Service-News-Internet-s341474/

One solution that was mentioned was saying "Hey Google, play World Service from BBC Sounds". But their website says the following, so your solution may only be a temporary one : 

"We're replacing BBC Sounds outside the UK and bringing you BBC.com, a seamless way to read, watch, and listen - all in one place. Visit bbc.com/audio or need more help?"

Could you help find a permanent fix for this issue please ?

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you'd like to get more information about the current issue with playing the BBC World Service. I know this is not the best experience to expect with your Google Nest devices. I'm happy to help.

There are some things I'd like to confirm first. Could you please ensure that both the devices' firmware and the Google Home app are updated to the latest version? After updating, please follow the steps below to customize news preferences and set the news source to BBC only:

1. Make sure the user's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app.
3. At the top-right, tap the account icon.
4. Verify that the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display.
5. Tap Close to close the account window.
6. Tap Settings > Google Assistant > News.
7. Add or remove news sources.

Yes, everything's already updated to the latest version.

My news source has already been set to BBC only, years ago.

And still I get KALW Bay Area when I ask for BBC World Service.

Any other idea?
