Hello,
I have one Hue BT bulb in my living room and it was working for years with my Nest Hub until I removed it a few months ago and wanted to add it again. It is recognized by the Hue app without any problems and if I move my Nest Mini speaker from another room to the living I can add the Hue bulb to my Google Home. The moment I move Nest Mini away, so only Nest Hub stays, the connection to the light is lost. So I think the problem is with the Nest Hub. However there's no problem to operate other devices ( Hombii, Netatmo, Yamaha ) from my Nest Hub. I rebooted everything 10 times by now, cleared cache, nothing seems to be helping. What do you suggest?

Hi Jeremy
1. It's a BT bulb, no wifi (bridge)
2.Yes, works well in Hue app
3. Yes, but only via nest mini not nest hub
4. yes, wifi network name change. Then I removed the light and once I tried adding it again it doesn't work (with nest hub. It's possible that I also changed my phone around the same date
5. yes, no issues before wifi network name change. After that all smart devices work fine with nest hub except the light
6. I factory reset nest hub and the bulb (no bridge)
7. a few months ago, after renaming wifi network. Issue is only with Nest Hub and the light. all other connections work fine
8. Next Hub 1st Gen
9. Yes, I moved it around to check if no other devices interfere with the connection
10. No, no error message. The light connected via Nest Mini is shown but is greyed out, impossible to control from the Hub
11. Samsung Galaxy S22
12. Rebooted model, rebotted everything at oncz and in a sequence, moved light/ hub to different location, powered off other BT devices while trying make the connection, updated firmware on all devices
13. Yes
14. Yes (Nest Hub can control all other smart devices except this one bulb)

Hi there!
Thanks for your reply.
I’m sorry to hear about all the inconvenience that you’ve been having with your Nest hub and Hue bulb light. Thanks for all the information that you shared, it’s really helpful. Let’s troubleshoot this together.
As I understand that the Nest hub is not able to turn on the light but it works through the Hue app, then I will need you to try the next steps:
Please check the following article: Create and manage Routines for Google Home automations for further information.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.

Hello Daniel,
Unfortunatlely, both appraoches failed
1. I cannot link the hue account with my google account, beacuse i'm not using the bridge. When I'm trying to do it I get a message "to control your hue system with a thrid party app (google home) you need to have a hue bridge linked with a hue home". i'm using a bluetooth bulb. So the bulb can be only added via " choose a device - google nest or partner device - seemless set up with a google home up"
It works fine with Nest Mini, it doesn't work with Nest hub - this is the problem i'm trying to solve!
2. Autimations work with Nest Mini, the moment I move Mini to another room, I can't control the light, even though Nest Hub is next to it
Please help me solve the connection between Nest hub and the light. There's no issue with Nest mini and the light

Hi there!
Thanks for your reply.
And thanks for the clarification. I understand that your Hue light works perfectly when you are using the Nest mini, but when trying to control it using the Nest Hub 1st generation, it does not respond. No worries, let's find a solution together.
Then let’s try the next steps:
If your Google Assistant on your Nest hub is still having trouble controlling your lights, choose the scenario below that matches your current naming scheme and try renaming your device in the Google Home app.
If still not working, you can try to factory reset your Nest hub and set it up back to your account.
You can check the following articles for further information: Use smart lights with Google Nest or Home devices and Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays.
Tell me how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.
