Can't cast youtube to nest hub max

On my phone, if I select my hub max as a divice to cast youtube to, it plays the pairing sound like it does when I cast music from Spotify, but then the youtube player crashes and it goes back to photo frame mode. Maybe related maybe not if I use voice commands to play a video on YouTube sometimes the player crashes and brings me back to photo frame mode.

Hey aaronxsubaru,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Sorry to hear about your experience. To confirm, are you casting YouTube Music or video? Please note that you can only cast YouTube Music or any supported music services to your Google Home Max. If you want to play video on your phone and the audio to your Home Max, you can connect it via Bluetooth. Click here to learn more.

Trying to cast video. Is there not a way to have the Nest Hub Max play a video I select from my phone? Depending on the channel name and video title Assistant is often wrong when trying to figure out what video to play if I try to play a video with voice commands.

Hi aaronxsubaru,

Thanks for updating us. Can you confirm if you also experience this when you try to cast from phone using Netflix? We just like to check so we can isolate the issue further. Also, let's try to completely reboot your Google Nest Hub Max and your router simply by unplugging it from the power source for atleast a few minutes then let's see if this would fix this.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,
Princess
