Can't find google nest in youtube or Netflix but OK with spotify

Hi, I have an issue with my google nest for 2 weeks now : I can't find it in the youtube or netflix app (tried it with 2 iPhones and 1 android), even after a factory reset. 

It works well with spotify but I can't find it in other apps. When I start youtube on voice command or on the screen it works and it's well linked to my account (see the videos in my history, can resume from another device...). I tried to start the app on the screen then take control with cast but it's not working either. Same thing with casting from google Chrome on PC : doesn't work.

I already tried the common stuff : factory reset, unplugged several times, updated the apps on my smartphones... Help me please I'm stuck ! 🙂

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry your Nest device is not showing as a casting option in the YouTube or Netflix apps. I’m happy to help you and find a solution. 

 

To effectively troubleshoot, please provide the following information: 

 

  • What Google Nest devices do you have? 
  • What voice command do you use to cast? 
  • Are you trying to cast from a Chromecast or a Google Nest speaker or display? 
  • Are you trying to cast it on TV or on a different device? 

 

The information will help to identify the best course of action.
