Can’t link Nest Home Max

Tateyboy

My max display with nest cam has been working fine for a few years. The other week, the nest cam would not turn on properly and display in either Google home or the nest app. After trying the usual troubleshooting (turn off, wait a while, turn on etc) I resorted to performing a factory reset on the device. I’m now stuck at the link device screen as it’s throwing an error (83902) while trying to link the device. I’m on the same network and have around 20 other Google / nest devices on my network without any issues.

Suggestions to stop this error please?

@Tateyboy

There have been at least a half dozen other posts about the kgsk error domain 83902 in the last few weeks. Google Nest does not seem to have an explanation. On one post (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/error-83902-kgsk-error-domain/m-p/55415...), a Google Nest Support Specialist posted this:

"To help the team further look into this, please send feedback using the Google Home app, followed by the keywords 'GHT3 KGSKErrorDomain error -83902.'"

Thanks. I’ve sent feedback too.

Hello Tateyboy,

Thank you for raising this concern. I am grateful to @MplsCustomer for lending a hand. I know the feeling when you're having issues setting up your Google Nest Hub Max. Just to add, you might want to try changing the language on your phone or tablet to EN_US during the setup process. Alternatively, you could attempt using a different email address to see if you experience the same issue.

Keep us posted.

Cheers,
