When I create a routine for controlling my c by ge lights I get the option to control the status on/off, the brightness and the color… status and brightness works correctly but color doesn’t work, I get the assistant responding something like “that option it’s not available on selected devices”.
the weird thing is that if I do their routine but instead of choosing “control home devices” I chose the option of “writing a custom command” if I write “change color of light 1 to blue” it’ll work correctly, also if I ask the assisted on voice command the color will change, also I can select the color on the Google home app and on the Google home nest screens.
the only way changing color doesn’t work is using a routine on the option “control home devices”.

Hello z00cinco,
Thanks for reaching out. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues controlling your C by GE lights using your Google Home Mini. A few questions: when did the issue start? How many lights do you have?
Let's go ahead and try creating another routine with the same actions but different triggers. Let's see if you'll still get the same response from your speaker. Also, it might help if you rename your bulbs so your speaker can recognize the command easily. Make sure to name them uniquely.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

I’ve 4 lights right now, three of them has colors and one doesn’t.
I’ve tried different triggers like schedule and voice and I’ve the same answer; it happens with the 3 lights. It’s like Google home can’t differentiate the features of each light (as I have 4 and only one of them doesn’t have the color feature, I’m guessing the assistant thinks any of them has the feature). Also, I’ve tried this on the 3 different lights that has the color feature and the answer of the assistant is the same.
I guess the only hay is writing a personalized command, because if I ask the assistant to change color of the light it will do it, its just that routines on the “control home devices” doesn’t work, and I don’t know why… As I said seems that having one light that doesn’t have the color feature, the assistant traits all the lights the same. But I will try changing the names of the lights and see what I get.

Hi z00cinco,
Exactly! Changing its name to a more specific one might do the trick. Let me us know once you've tried!
Best,
