Confirming lack of Nest camera notifications

Just making sure I've got this correct - there is no way for the Nest Hub Max to display a person or vehicle notification, correct? When I bought the Hub Max and Cam this week, I thought I would be able to get those notifications on the Max, but it appears I'm limited to just viewing video there and have to rely on the phone app for notifications.

If there is some means to get camera notifications on the Hub Max, I've not found it.

We can only get "visitor announcements" on Nest Hubs when the doorbell button is pressed.
