I asked Google what the weather was it told me it was going to rain. I checked the forecast there's no rain in sight. I asked it again what the weather was going to be and it said partly sunny. I went in the other room and asked the other Google nest what the weather was going to be and it said it was going to rain. I asked it again a few minutes later and said it was going to be partly sunny.
both times it mentioned the correct town, so obviously it knows where we are. But last they checked, partly cloudy and raining are not the same.

What model of Google devices do you have? For your reference, consult this article: Google Nest and Home device specifications.
When did the trouble start?
In the meantime, try to perform these steps:
Ensure the home address is set up correctly. To verify this information, check out this article: Change Google home address.
Try requesting the weather specifically, for example: "What's the weather for [specific day]?"

Google nest speaker. The weather reports have been less than optimal on and off for a long time. It clearly knows where I live I don't need to fix the address or anything because otherwise it wouldn't say to me "the weather in ____ is....." and I do ask for it specifically with the name of the day. And it repeats it back to me so it hears me and it understands me but as I said it gave two completely opposite weather forecasts within Minutes.

I recommend you check that your Google Home app is up to date.
Reboot your Nest speakers; you can find instructions in the article: Reboot Google Nest or Google Home speaker or display.

Updated. Rebooted. It didn't do it the last time I checked. But that doesn't mean it's fixed because it could very well do some crazy weather report the next time I ask. That's the problem with this thing is these problems just come and go randomly.

I did. I have sent feedback via the app itself and via the device itself on these sorts of issues for years. Nothing changes nobody does anything. Nobody fixes anything. It just continues and if anyone actually read these forums they would understand that there's a lot of glitches and problems that are never addressed. All you all do is ask us 1 million questions and tell us to reboot and update the app and the problems persist.
