US Purchased Next Hub Max won’t work in Canada

After factory resetting both the Google max hub and my Wi-Fi multiple times, I still cannot get my nest hub max to connect to my home network. My Google Home is recognizing the device and goes through all the initial set up steps successfully, except when trying to connect to my Wi-Fi.  All my other Google devices on my home network including other nest hub maxes work fine. I purchased this specific device in the US initially.  Where I purchased a device shouldn’t matter Google.   Can someone help?

Unfortunately, it does matter what country the device was purchased in.

Google Nest says:
"We don’t recommend using your Nest camera in a different country than where it was purchased....

Nest cameras and doorbells are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards depending on where they were sold. This means that your device might experience decreased performance if you move it to a different country, and it might not comply with regulations there."

Some customers on other threads have also noted that Wi-Fi standards can differ from one country to another, and the devices are configured for the country in which they are sold.

Really?  There is no way around this. I would figure the wifi standards between US and Canada would not be that different.  It did initially work when we first brought it to Canada but have since moved within Canada and it’s not longer connecting.

I'm just another Google Nest customer, and NOT an expert.  But I have seen many posts in this forum about Google Nest devices not working in a country different from where they were purchased.
