Control of Speaker via Gemini on Phone

Not sure if this is a question for Nest community or Gemini Community, but I'm sure someone can direct this as appropriate

I have a first gen GHM which is named on my network as Bedroom Speaker. It generally works fine and I use it everyday to listen to podcasts and radio stations by standing nearby and saying the usual commands "Hey Google stream Times Radio" etc. So far so good.

When I'm elsewhere at home and heading towards the bedroom, sometimes I want the speaker to start playing before I get there (perhaps to skip some pre-roll adverts) so I say to my Pixel phone which I'm carrying "Hey Google stream Times Radio on Bedroom Speaker".  I could be mistaken but I seem to remember that Assistant used to allow this? Now however Assistant has been replaced by Gemini (2.0 Flash) and after the command my Pixel puts up text on the screen saying " I am sorry , I cannot stream times radio on the bedroom speaker. Here is some information about the speaker" This then links to the Home app. Is this a bug or the expected behaviour and is it different from Assistant?

Same problem on mine. It used to work. They removed this feature apparently. Is it coming back? When?

@Derickf Thanks. When you say: "I'll be happy to help you" does that mean you will be posting more information or is the help just the link to the Assistant Community - so you consider this thread effectively closed? Btw I'm not sure the Assistant forum would be the right place since the issue seems to be with Gemini which replaced Assistant on my phone?
