Could not communicate to google nest from your iphone

Ive been trying to reconnect to my speaker, ive done factory reset, updated my phone, restarted my phone and wifi. My speaker has finally connected to my wifi but now its giving me the same message everytime: speaker may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iphone’s privacy settings. Which was already on before I started. Ive tried reconnecting over and over again, turning off bluetooth, turning it on, airplane mode, turning off data and nothing is working. Please help!

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late response. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions — is this a first time setup? Are you all trying to connect this to a private network? Also, try using another device to set it up like an android phone for us to isolate the issue.

  • Is this a first time setup? 
  • Are you all trying to connect this to a private network? 
  • Try using another device to set it up like an android phone for us to isolate the issue.
