Erratic play on google nest mini with music provider SPOTIFY selected!

Since i configured and re-configured my new Google Nest Minis (now paired in Stereo) that i have constant ERRATIC behavior from the device when a MUSIC PROVIDER is selected in Google Home!

I tried reset, reboot, re-associate the Spotify Account to no avail.

When i ask to play a specific song, LP, etc, it says "Playing xxx on xxx" and does NOTHING!

Sometimes plays the wrong song! Most of the time keeps playing what it was paying before!

If i select "No predefined music provider" it seems to work OK!!

I had the correct selection (SPOTIFY) in the past, and it was working fine...

What could be causing this? Is this a NEW recent BUG?

After a complete reset and total reconfiguration of my google nest devices, all seems to work OK...

Configuration is a very sensible process, prone to different results even with the slightest change in the steps used, which is confusing and frustrating!

One example is that NOW, my google nest mini stereo paired assistant talks on BOTH speakers, which is kinda nice... why? When I first paired them only one talked... as described in the online help section!

Hi @marcolopes

This started happening with me as well about a week ago. Carried out a complete factory reset, set them up again and all started working OK. Then today, it has all started again. Don't have any mini's but instead 2 Nest Audio 2nd gen set as a stereo pair. Never had them responding form both speakers, always from the left as set out in the various help sections.

Really don't want to keep carrying out complete resets every 4 or 5 days.

Also spoke to online chat and they only suggested unlinking Spotify and re linking but that did not work.

First thing i did was UNLINK Spotify and link again... Same result.

ONLY fix i found (it's working OK) is to set the music provider to NONE!

As always, frustrating!

Problem subsists!!

Problems started again! Erratic responses, no music play if spotify was selected as music provider...

UNPAIRED the stereo pair, repaired again...

Now, only the left speaker talks... spotify is selected as default music provider... and it seems to work OK again...

Wait! No! It's not! Responses are erratic again and nothing works as it should when asking to play a song!!!

Also, google home has some inconsistencies when configuring a stereo pair, because the pair is seen on devices page, and only the LEFT speaker is seen on the configuration page! Confusing!

Are you  boycotting SPOTIFY??

That's the only explanation!!

Monumental bugs create random POPPING noise when streaming spotify... and NOW, voice commands are totally erratic IF we select Spotify as the default music provider??
