Error message when routnes should run

TenleyH

have several routines set to make announcements on my Google Home Hub.  I will regularly get an error message, something along the lines of there was an error with my routine and to check the account the routine is on or change which account the device is signed in to. These routines are all Household routines and sometimes they work fine, other times they give this spoken error. I do not change anything (in the routine or on the devices) in between working and not working, it's been happening almost every time the routine runs recently.

I used to have these routines set to run on multiple devices but it was suggested here that I change it to just run on one device. I did that and the first few times it ran, it worked fine, but then the problem started again.

Here is a link to my previous post about this https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Routines-don-t-run/m-p/644394#M115585

Why didn't you continue to communicate with Community Specialist @luciaaa ?

I agree with Luci that deleting the routine and starting a new one from scratch is a good course of action.

Also one speaker at a time is a good idea. Make 2 routines if you have to. At least if one fails the other speaker may pick up the ball and run.

I didn't have a chance to make the recommended change for a while and the thread is locked now. I did make the change, I deleted the routines and made new ones with it set to just run on one device at a time and as I said above, it worked fine for a few days but now it's giving the error again.

It could be your Wi-Fi router. You could try turning it off for a few minutes.

I'm not clear on how that could help. If I don't have an active internet connection at the time the routine doesn't run at all. The display is showing my Google Photos sliideshow at the time of the error as well, which it does not do without an active internet connection.

I did a power cycle on the router but same thing. Sometimes one routine will give the error but then 10 mins later another routine will work even though they have the same settings, or I have two routines set to run on two different devices at the same time so the routines are identical except the device they're running on and one will work but not the other (generally the Home Hub will not work and the original Google Home will)
