Have been listening to Triple M FM Melbourne for a year with out issue. Suddenly today it plays a different station from what I'm asking for. After a little investigating, I find that radio stations that are linked to either iHeart and Tunein are being played, but nothing via the Listnr app. Has the Listnr app been dropped.
"Help" pages instruct to arrange your radio requirements via Media>Manage your system>Radio (button) But there is no Radio button (Only Music, Video, Podcast or Create Groups)

Worked fine yesterday after almost a week of not working. This morning, nothing. Cannot even get the phone to cast a Google podcast to the hub. Spotify will cast. The phone will play SiriusXM if I ask it to via the app in the phone.
Frustrating without my music.

I used to say "Hey Google Play XYZ station and it would. Now it doesn't recognize any of the stations I'm asking them to play. They played on TunedIn and Audacy. I reset the device but it still not recognizing them. Help

I am having the same problem, started yesterday!
04-12-2023 07:31 AM
Same issue. It actually started on and off a few weeks ago where it would not recognize "Play" versus "Stream" and we were able to work around it by trying one or the other. Now it simply states it cannot find the station at all.
It used to be we could say either of the following and it worked:
"Play 88Nine Radio Milwaukee" or "Stream 88Nine Radio"
Then "Play" stopped working and we had to switch to just "Stream"
Then is flipped.
The it stopped recognizing itself as the speaker and required us to say:
"Play/Stream 88Nine Radio on Kitchen Speaker"
And finally now, none of the above works and it simple cannot find the station.

See this post; it's apparently a global problem:

rebooting did not fix the issue with my Google nest mini
04-12-2023 09:40 AM
In the last couple of days all my google home devises have stopped being able to play iHeart or Tunin radio stations. On my Nest Hub devices I returns with a web page describing the station I asked for.

This is a widespread issue that the Nest and Assistant teams are looking into. I don't have any updated info.

Hope yours is back to work, too!

Asking Google Assistant to play any Sirius channel or iHeart Radio with no luck. Response I get from Assistant is "I looked for the 80's on 8 on SiriusXM, but it either isn't available or can't be played right now". Tried on my Pixel phone, in my vehicle, pixel buds, and Google speakers....nothing!
Hope this gets figured out soon.

For the last three days, or so... when playing any sirius xm radio station, it just doesn't. No error. Says it will start playing, then doesn't.

Exactly the same situation I am experiencing

HERE'S A SOLUTION: Say good by to Google! I just solved the problem with Google Home and Tune-In not working and it didn't cost me a dime. Plus best of all by doing this, now Google has one less way of tracking where you go, what you do or when you took your last dump. All you have to do to fix this issue is get yourself a cheap old fashion stereo system or even a cheap boombox with a remote, and you'll never have to listen to Google and Tune-In ads blurting out all hours of the day and night ever again.
For almost a half a year now after my five Google minis have worked great for over five years, when I'd asked Google to play a local radio station through Tune-In, first I'd have to listen to 5 plus Tune-In ads, then usually after the ads were done, the speaker would go blank and didn't play the radio station anyway. If I'd tell Google to play the local radio station a second, third, forth or even a hundred times, Tune-In would play the same 5 plus ads, then sometimes it would work for a few minutes only to go silent again, occasionally it would play for maybe an hour, (always with way too many Tune-In ads every few minutes), and recently, most of the time the radio station would never play at all, and all it would do is just blurt out another 5 plus ads every few minutes. When I'd go into my Home app, it showed that the speaker was still playing, but all I'd get were the 5 plus Tune-In ads for the rest of the day with no radio station, and the only way to stop it from rudely blurting out ads was to go into the app and physically turn the speaker off. Coincident? I don't think so seeing how Google is the king of ads.
For me the last straw that ended my frustration with Google and Tune-in was when it started blurting out ads throughout the middle of the night while I was sleeping. Talk about invasion of privacy. With Google being the king of ads, does anyone really believe it's coincidental how the Tune-In ads still work fine after telling Google to stop the music, yet Google and Tune-In could care less about the actual function of radio not working? Then again I'm sure Google gets a nice kickback every time one of those ads are played, and seeing how Google gets off by forcing ads on everyone, they probably get some kind of sexual gratification every time they can intrude into our lives without invitation and force another one of those ad upon us.
As for using Google home as an alarm clock, only to wake up to 5 or 7 more Tune-In ads if it would go off at all, I remedied that issue too. All you have to do is just go old school and get yourself a radio alarm clock. If you no longer have one laying around in your closet, you can get them new for a few bucks locally. It's well worth the cost knowing you'll never have to deal with the frustration of Google and Tune-In again, plus best of all, now Google has one less way of tracking where you go, what you do or when you took your last dump.
The fix for using Google as a 'timer' to turn on a lamp or other device at a certain time, the keyword to this solution is the word 'Timer'. Yes, remember those old fashion timers that we used many years ago? They're still available and they're less than ten bucks at most local hardware stores. They're a lot more reliable than Google, plus best of all, now Google has one less way of tracking where you go, what you do or when you took your last dump.
For over 25 years along with being a pioneer in the introduction of the internet, I've worked in both technical fields of communications and electronics, and I'll admit there are times when things don't always work as planned, but as soon as an error is detected, it's our job to make sure that the problem is solved immediately. As for Google and Tune-in, they are well aware of this issue and have been for over a half a year, yet they have no intention to fix it because they only care about their ad revenue. Personally, until some type of invasion of privacy lawsuit is filed against these clowns, nothing will get fixed, and even then, all they're going to do is have you agree to a new policy where clicking Yes means you agree to their deceiving terms, or by clicking No, you accept their deceiving terms. The only solution that is a true fix to this issue is to get rid of all your Google devices completely, then the problem will be solved and your frustrations with Google will be done once and for all.
