GOOGLE HOME UNRESPONSIVE TO VOICE OR APP

Hi, my Google Home device stopped working. When I plug it in the colourful circle and chime does not appear. However an orange light comes on and then it changes to a solid white light. It is not responsive to voice commands and I cannot find it on my app when trying to set up a new device. If I press the mute button, the voice does say that the speaker is on mute or not. But that is all. Any help?
