Google Assistant trouble controlling Sonos Arc soundbar

For a year and a half, I have had problems sending commands via Google assistant to my Sonos speaker, the Arc (with it's own GA capacity). I just SOLVED this problem. The problem: when I say, "OK Google , next song", for example, or ask it to change the volume, I get the reply "sorry something went wrong" or "nothing is playing right now". It didn't matter if I used my phone GA, or one of the two Google smart speakers I have. I have Google Nest Wifi access point smart speaker to and mini, and of course my Android phone with GA actively listening. I have GA installed in Sonos software, but since it is terrible at understanding commands compared to my phone or other Google speaker, I have the Sonos microphone always muted. SOLUTION: I uninstalled Google Assistant as the voice assistant for my Sonos speaker. Bam, I can now fully control music playback, volume etc. via Google assistant via any Google device. So having GA installed as voice assistant in the Sonos software breaks actually using GA voice commands via any Google smart speaker or phone.

Short summary: problems controlling your Sonos "smart" speaker/soundbar via Google Assistant with your phone or Google speaker? Go into Sonos app, and remove Google assistant voice control on your Sonos speaker (and do not reactivate it, and just muting your Sonos microphone will not work).
