Simple questions to my google home hub started acting weirs starting on Feb 1st 2023.
ok google, what's today's date?
on the website saturdaygift.com it says that it's Wednesday, Feburary 15, 2023. Would you like to know how to write it?
or
ok google, what time is it?
"I don't know, but I found these results on search"
ok google, whats the forecast
it goes on to read about forecasting from wikipedia. It gives a brief history on weather forecasting from the 1800s.....
I have a ok google, good morning routine set.
It is supposed to tell me the day, date, current temperature, weather forecast for today, weather forecast for tomorrow... but instead I get a lot of I don't know or directing me to read web pages.... prior to Feb 1st, 2023... it just told me the date, time, temp, and etc like it used to do.. now it seems like it's a idiot AI that got let lose.

Hey JackSnodgrass,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue. My apologies for the late response.
I understand the feeling when your Google Nest Hub is not working the way it should. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. Let's go ahead and reboot your device including your router. Please unplug them from the power source then leave it unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
If it's still the same, proceed with resetting your Nest Hub by pressing and holding both volume buttons together, at the back of the Nest Hub, for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting the Nest Hub.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

I reset my router, reset my device. I still get the same results. Take a look at this video... - https://photos.app.goo.gl/g2LvdoiZzwkpY8n58 - I asked the time and then I asked the date. I expected to hear it's 10:53 pm or on the date... it's February 19, 2023. As you can see / hear on the video... I did not get those results.
This happens on Multiple home devices and according to: https://www.reddit.com/r/googlehome/comments/10smeyo/strange_google_home_issues_started_happening_a/ - others besides me have this same issue.
Seems like this is a google software issue and not a local ( to me ) hardware issue.

Hi JackSnodgrass,
Thanks for the information. To confirm, do you have the same issue when using the Google Assistant on your phone? What country are you located in? Also, what is the current firmware version of your device? Follow the steps below to know-how:

I am in the USA.
I am using the same google account on my phone and home assistant.
I have 3 Google Home Hub displays
they all behave this way.
They all have the same software loaded on them:
Fuchsia Version: 9.20221010.3.176
Software Version: 50.26.12.493473605
Chromecast firmware version: 1.67.330920
my Samsung Galaxy G21 phone works fine with google assistant. If I ask what time it it, it gives me the expected result. If I ask what is the date, it gives me the expected result.
This used to work just fine on my home devices. It was around Feb 1st where they started acting up.
I have a good morning and good night routine. It has always told me the date, time, weather forecast for today, weather forecast for tomorrow... this worked fine for 9+ months... then all of a sudden I started getting the 'I don't know' response from the google home devices.
