Google Home Mini adding state and country to weather

This started a couple weeks back. When I ask for the weather for today, it now says "The weather in Richmond, Virginia USA is ...

It used to just say Richmond. How do I stop this behavior?

Thanks for reaching out.

It could be an update that pushed through that's why it keeps on saying its location. I've also tried it using my personal Google Nest display and I'm also getting the same thing. Have you already tried rebooting your Google Home by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes? Let's go ahead and try that to see if it changes its behavior.
