Google Home Mini having a "glitch, try again in a few seconds"

Both of my Google Home Mini started responding to  say, "there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" and doesn't work when command was repeated. The wifi is working fine, the locations haven't changed. The one has an Alexa 2 feet away and works fine. Is my google home mini dead? I've noticed the last bit, it was starting to get slower to respond. Maybe it's the second generation google home mini. I don't know. I would love for it to work. I have already tried power cycling it. Unplugging it for a few minutes from the wall. And calling it names. Still doesn't want to consistently reply like it did last month.
