Google Home Mini

Alrighty, I factory reset my home mini and it’s stuck on two lights and when I unplug and plug in it says can’t connect to wi-fi, idk what to do  and when I try to connect on app it won’t let me, can’t do Bluetooth connect because it won’t connect to wi-fi 😕

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on with your Home Mini.

A few questions — is your Home Mini within 15 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) away from your router? Are you getting any message when connecting it to your Wi-Fi? Also, where there any changes on your network before it happened?

Give these steps a try:

 

  • Make sure your phone is connected to the same network where you want to connect your Home Mini.
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app. 
  • If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app and
  • Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  • Reboot your router and devices to refresh the connection.
  • Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your set up device. 
  • Reset your Google Home Mini one more.

I’m gonna reset it but it just sits on two lights, I’ll let it sit like that for the rest of today I guess we’ll see what happens.

Thanks for the update.

 

Let me know if resetting your device helps. You can follow these steps:

 

  • At the side of the Google Home speaker, unplug the power cord and wait for 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait until the 4 LED lights up on top.
  • Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  • After the customer plugs the power cord back in the final time, wait for the device to reset. The device announces "Welcome to Google Home" to signify that its ready for setup.
