Google Home alarm changing times

Niniane
Community Member

I have a 1st Gen Google Home speaker in my bedroom that I have used for the last few years as my morning alarm. I recently moved and since setting up my speaker in the new house, have had issues with the alarm time changing at random. I use voice to set my alarm and check the time that it is set for but at least once a week, the alarm does not go off at the set time. When I ask what time the alarm is set for, it gives a completely different time. It's caused me to be late for work a couple of times and I am now setting a separate alarm on my phone to ensure I don't sleep in. Any ideas?

Hey Niniane,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Home device. I'd love to help. Please try removing and re-adding your current address on the Google Home app. Once done, reboot your Google Home speaker to refresh the settings.

Follow these steps below or visit this link for more steps:

  1. Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. At the top-right, tap the account icon.
  4. Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the down arrow icon > choose another account or Add another account.
  5. Tap Assistant Settings.
  6. Tap You > Your places.
  7. To edit a home or work address, tap the current address > type a new address > OK.
  8. To remove a home or work address, tap Remove (X) next to the address.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
