I still get this issue even i updated this week my phone fw to Emui12 (i have an Huawei P30 Pro). Does anyone have any ideea how could i fix this issue?

Hey Ionut,

Thanks for reaching out.

A few questions: are you using an app to link your phone to your Google Home device? Are you directly asking your Google Home speaker? We checked on our system and this feature isn't supported yet.

We'll be waiting for your update.

Thanks,

Alex

I'm using google assistant from my phone linked to my google account. No other app. Before updating to emui12, worked flawless. Google home device told me every time what's my phone battery level when i was saying good night, for example. And if it was under 60%,it reminded me to charge my phone. No it doesn't work anymore.

Hey Ionut,

Thanks for the update.

To make sure, are you initiating the Bedtime routines? If so, it can only places the mobile phone on silent (only when initiated via an Android device). Try creating a custom Routine using these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Tap Routines tap the add button .
  3. Under How to start: Tap Add starter (required) choose from the following options:
    • Voice command: Start the routine with a voice command like "Let's get ready."
Note: To add multiple phrases, tap Add another.
    • (Optional) Time: Choose the time and day when the routine triggers.
    • (Optional) Sunrise/sunset: The routine triggers at the time the sun rises and sets, based on a chosen location.
    • (Optional) Dismiss an alarm: Automatically start a routine when an alarm is dismissed on a speaker or display.
  4. Under This routine: Go to Adjust Phone Settings  to adjust
  • Adjust phone volume
  • Tell battery status (Reminders to charge are only available for Android devices.)
  • Toggles do not disturb (Android devices only)

Looking forward for your response.

Thanks,

Alex

This is my routine.

When i say "good night", he adjust the volume, tell me weather on the next day and if the battery is under 70% should remind me to charge the phone. It adjust the volume, is says the next day weather, and after that it makes a short pause and tell me good night. But about the battery doesn't say enything, even the battery level is 30%. I tried to ask it about the battery level and the lights start to rotate like he is looking for an answer, but after 10-15 seconds they all go out without getting an answer.

Hey Ionut,

Thanks for the update.

While it may have worked before, this action is only supported when you're creating a custom routine. Try creating a custom routines with "Tell battery status (Reminders to charge are only available for Android devices.)" action and let see if it will work.

Best,

Alex

I did it, but no success. The 4 dots are spinning for a while like he's trying to find an answer. But it doesn't say anything.

If i try tha same phrase on my phone, it displays me the battery level. But my google home doesn't want anymore to tell me that.

Ok, i'm back. Did a hard reset of Google Home, but still nothing. When I say it, i get the same result. The lights are spinning in circle, like it'l looking to do something, but after some good seconds nothing happens and the lights get off.

Thanks for your time and patience. I give up. It's too much time consuming and i have a feeling that only solution will be a FW update (but it's likely probably someone will work on that). I'll check the battery level before i go to sleep, if this automatisation doesn't work anymore.

Ionut
