Google Meet with Hartman/Kardon speaker

I have a Harman/kardon google speaker and I’m able to connect everything just fine, even with the Google Home app. The Meet app is also connected but when I call the speaker from Meet, people can hear me but I can’t hear them. I’ve checked a lot of settings, even the mute button on the speaker. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Pabs32,

Thanks for posting in our community.

Not being able to hear the calls you make with your speakers is certainly not what you expect; let’s see what can be done about it.

How far are you from your speaker? Have you noticed any lack of audio while playing music on your speaker? How far is this speaker from your router?

As a general rule of thumb, your speaker should be within 15-20 feet of the router and away from sources of interference, such as a microwave or a baby monitor. I suggest restarting your speaker and moving it closer to your router, then starting another Google Meet session. If you don't notice a difference, you can also try to start a call with different users.

However, if you’ve performed these troubleshooting steps and you still don’t seem to get audio from your speaker when making calls, my suggestion is to contact Harman Kardon directly for further advice on what to do next to get your speaker back up and running again.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel.
