Google Nest Display White vertical line

The issue with the display is strange. Yesterday the whole display dimmed, but a small vertical section on the far right side did not. Its brightness level is as set, level 7. The rest of the display, say 95%, has brightness of about 4. Very strange....I tried re-booting, no effect. H E L P !

Hello BJakovina,

Thanks for reaching out to the Speakers and Displays Community forum.

Please share a photo of your Google Nest Hub if you don't mind. Try to factory reset your display and set it up again.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
Lovely

Yes, I did that....sadly same situation. I've read in various spots online that the display is toast when it does this. The vertical lines are actually covering 95% of the display. The 5% that bright and normal is on the far right.....I've had the first gen NEST hub now for 4 years, I guess it's just dying, sadly. 😢

Thank you very much for reaching out....the advise is good, unfortunately not quite the solution.

Hi BJakovina,

Chiming in, since we have exhausted the troubleshooting steps for your issue, the next best step is to replace it. However, as much as we'd love to replace your device, it's no longer within our Limited Warranty. We know this is not the best answer that you're looking for, but let us know if you still have other questions otherwise, I'll be locking this after 24 hours.

Cheers,

Muddi
