Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) not working

I have had this Hub device for a year.  It worked fine for a little while but after leaving it unplugged for some months during house decorations we have been unable to get it to work again.  Whatever we do the screen displays the Google symbol on a white background with a blue line underneath.

We have tried plugging and unplugging ten times in succession and tried to do a factory reset a number of times.  We have moved it closer to our router and even reset the router so WiFi is not the issue.

Any other ideas please?
