Google Nest Hub Max keeps rebooting, after 2 hours!!! Help!

Hi,

I just got a new Google Nest Hub Max for a present for my mother. Before finishing the set up it started rebooting by itself. At the beginning it was every hour but after 2 days it's almost every 5m. Did I miss something? I restored the factory settings and started the set up again without any difference.

I saw there was a similar thread before, but couldn't see the solution since it was looked.

Please help!! It is a present for my mother so we can keep in touch more easily. I want/need to set it up before leaving (in two days). She's not tech at all...

Thanks a lot.

The power connector on the Max can seem to be inserted when it isn't fully engaged. Press on it a bit and see if you don't hear a little snap when it clicks in. If that doesn't help, try plugging in the adapter elsewhere to see if you are dealing with a bad outlet or circuit.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back...

As you suggested, I validated that the plug is fully engaged but it's still rebooting. Previously I had moved it to another outlet, but it continues with the rebooting.

Another idea?

Thanks

I would suggest you factory reset it again, and exchange it for a new one. If I had the opportunity, and I didn't have a circuit tester available, I'd probably try it at another residence to rule out a supply problem, but odds are you just got a dud.
