Google Nest Hub - errors messages, a glitch, or try again, after the unit has been idle

I have brand new Google Nest Hub. From new it works, then after letting it go idle for 5 minutes or so, it always send two error messages. There has been a glitch, or H'mm, try again in a few minutes".  I have rebooted modems, routers, moved device. No good. I have a Lenovo Wall Clock running Google, working perfectly. Please help.

Hi JohnX2,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with your Google Nest Hub. Let’s further look into it. Are you using a dual-band router? If yes, on which band is your Google Nest Hub connected?

Try doing these steps:

  • Open the Google Home app > Devices > Tap your Google Nest Hub > Settings > Remove device > Remove.
  • Go back to the Devices tab > Scroll down to Other cast/Local devices > Tap your Google Nest Hub > Add to a room. Follow the instructions in adding it back to your room.
  • Give it a test command.

Let me know how it goes.

Alex

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your help. I use a D Link COVR AX1870 Dual Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router. Just after I sent my post to the Community, I went back into the D Link configuration section and made some tweaks with the IPv6. Essentially I configured it match closely the IPv4 set up. Within seconds of doing that and a reboot of the Router - success. The Nest has been working faultlessly ever since.

Thank you again for responding.

Regards

John
