Google Nest Hub max

Hello,

I purchased a used Google nest hub max and this is my second one, but I cannot set it up using the google home app this time. It sends a message asking the previous owner to go to their device setting and remove it. I did the factory reset but no help. I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Than you,

Hey danramzi,

Sorry to hear about your experience, but thanks for bringing this up. Please note that for you to set up the Google Nest Hub Max, the previous owner should remove it from his account or from the Google Home app. This is part of the security features of the Nest Hub Max, and cannot be by-pass. Ask the user to follow these steps below to remove the device. Note: Make sure they are logged in on the same account used to set up the device.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Check the rooms to see if they can still see the Nest Hub. If yes, tap the device settings (gear icon) then tap remove the device.
  3. Check "Other Cast devices" then follow the steps on number 2.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi
