Main Problem: My Google Nest Hub was working fine and I unplugged it in the Spring, only to plug it back in now with power and it does not power up, only makes a pulse hum sound. The screen stays black. I have tried factoring resetting and it did not help.
Back story that may or may not help of another problem: Before that point it was crashing all the time, which I think is related to the raise of http v3 udp multicasting on the network flooding it forcing a reboot when on a corporate network yet worked fine at my home. Even after google pushed the OS conversion to the nest hub, it still crashed all the time on the corporate network when a lot of people were around due to udp multicast flooding the nest causing kernel panics. So design fault/bug.
Note: the hub nest does not run Android, yet was the closest option to choose.

Hello xeoron,
Thanks for reaching out. My apologies for the late response. I know how challenging it is not to have a working device when needed. To confirm, are you using the official power adapter that came with the Nest display? How many Google Nest Hubs do you have? Also, when and where did you purchase your device?
Let's try these steps below:
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

Are your newer devices still broken with corporate networks crashing it due to http v3 udp multicasting crashing it all the time? Because if so, I rather only get one if Google provides it as a offical tester to aid in the fixing of the critically broken/buggy/not usable product. I wanted to use it for live translation and music playing at work and I can not do either when it crashes every few minutes due to udp kernel panics rebooting it all the time.
