Google Nest Hub won't connect to wifi

Hi all. Trying to get my Google Nest Hub to connect to my work wifi. Our router is relatively new, so shouldn't be any issues there. Every time I try to connect from my phone to set up the location, it says "something went wrong". then proceeds to tell me to enable local network (which is already enabled). I've tried multiple wifi connections and nothing. One odd thing, during the struggle to set this thing up, I noticed a wifi device that was the same as my hub. But it asks for a password....which is weird bc the hub isn't even set up yet... I've tried my google password, the serial number, password...nothing. Is there a way to have it connect to my phone hotspot? doesn't give me the option in the list of wifi devices, but curious if anybody has tried that. Thanks in advance!

You may already have tried some of these steps but I'll link to them in full:

And what happened when you did so? What did you observe? Reason for asking is there's a lot of troubleshooting steps there and without more details on what you're seeing when you try those steps, it's difficult to advise on next steps.
