I recently had a power outage in my area and everything was turned off for a few hours. Since then the Nest Hub won't connect to my wifi network through my Netgear wifi extender.
All my other devices still work fine through the wifi extender and the Nest Hub still works if connected to the main wifi network router but just won't connect through the extender. Every time I set it up, I can connect to the Nest Hub but at the stage when I try to connect to the wifi and internet, it keeps saying check internet connection and won't connect.
I've restarted and rebooted the router, the wifi extender, the nest hub. I've also updated the firmware for the Netgear Extender and the Nest Hub (when it was connected to the main router).
Please help.

Hey so I've finally solved this after weeks. Apparently I had blocked the IP address associated with the WIFI networks of the WIFI Extender.
It showed up as an unknown device on my router months ago, separate to the actual extender IP address so I blocked it at the time. For some reason it didn't stop it from connecting then, and when I had a power outage which then came back on, it enacted the rule.
This is why the Nest Hub could connect to the router directly but not through the extender. What's really strange is that my phone, Chromecast or Philips Hue never had an issue connecting to the extender network, but my desktop and Nest Hub did.
So check if you might have blocked any devices from your router setup page. It's now working perfectly for me.
