Hello
I purchased a gen2 Nest Hub about 12 months ago. set it up pretty easily and have been using it with no major issues.
A couple of days ago I decided to set up some favourite photos in Google Photos and set Nest to display these.
What I have noticed is that Nest will only display about 20 of the 130 favourites I've marked.
I double checked photos.google.com and can see my favourites sitting there so I have looked through previous posts and see same issue with various suggestions offered but none of these seem to work.
I've tried removing favourites and creating stand alone album instead and selecting this in Nest but same result.
I have set to 'live albums only' under Personal Photo Curation but still same abnormal behaviour.
I've tried loading the stand alone album with just high quality pics thinking some of my older ones were causing issues but that doesn't work either.
Have rebooted the Nest to no avail and feel really deflated about this and wonder did anyone come up with a definitive fix ?

Hi bigredvic1,
Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

Hello Juni
Thanks for your reply.
I had already completed a factory reset but went through the process again to be safe but the behavior remains basically unchanged.
Of the 130 images showing on photos.google.com the Nest is only rotating through roughly 20. I say roughly 20 because what is being displayed does change slightly over time. In some cases you get exactly 20 of the same pictures, or you may get 18 of the same plus 3 new pictures, or only 15 of the 20 but one of these is displayed every second or third time.
There seems to be no logical pattern to what is occurring as the Nest is not showing the 'favorite' 20 based on anything I can see. It is not related to position in folder, or date or location or file size. I've even tried deleting these 20 but all that happens is that a new 20 appear to be randomly selected and the same ad hoc display patterns keep occurring.
Is there no way to get the Nest to just display the pictures based on their position in the folder rather than setting up a random slideshow based on some algorithm that appears to be broken ?
