Google Photo albums don’t show up on nest

I had an album show up yesterday and it would shuffle through 10 pictures in it. Now today it won’t show any albums and just defaulted to the landscape pics. I’ve tried creating a new photo album, that doesn’t show up. I tried adding more photos to the aforementioned album that was previously working, that did not get it to show up again. I tried disconnecting the device and reconnecting to google app, also did not work.

A few questions I'd like to ask -- Are you the only account linked to your Google Nest display? Also, did you check the settings on the Google Home app if the selected settings are correct? Let's go ahead and try these settings:

  • Google Home app:
    1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
    2. Tap your Nest display and then Settings .
    3. Tap Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.
  • Nest display:
    1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
    2. Tap Settings .
    3. Tap Photo frame and then adjust the settings you want.

If you’ve enabled Voice Match, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.

You can add or remove albums with the Home app or your Nest display.

  • Home app:
    1. Open the Home app Google Home app, then tap your Nest display.
    2. Tap Settings  and then Photo Frame and then Google Photos.
    3. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.
  • Nest display:
    1. Say “Hey Google, change Photo frame.”
    2. Tap Google Photos.
    3. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.

Available albums include autoselected albums like “Recent highlights,” your private Google Photos albums, and your shared albums that have a name.

 

Let me know if these steps worked.

I would love some help I kind of in same issue and dumbfounded cause pretty good usually so if could send in correct path I would be soooo grateful. I just switched google accounts from business to personal and YouTube was fine and everything else except pictures now I can't get them to load the Nest keeps saying looks like there's no pictures available, but literally spent couple hours creating 3 separate albums but can't get them to cast or display just the lovely curated art  lol. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

@Knappster, if you have successfully moved some photos from the other account to another, let's check if these settings are set correctly.

 

Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.
