Google home max swipe left not working

I just unboxed my new google home max and when i try to swipe left to get the the menu it does not work. it will either not move at all, or you try swipe and it will go black for a second then back to curated art or will go to a white screen then back to curated art. Please help

Sorry to know about your experience with your Google Nest Hub Max. To help us get a better picture of what's happening, do you mind sharing a video? Also, please check the firmware version of your device. Follow the steps below to know-how:

1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
2. Tap Settings > About device. You should find your 'Cast firmware version'.
   • For Nest Hub Max: If 'Fuchsia version' is also listed, this means that your device runs Fuchsia.
