Google home mini & google nest issue

I have 4 Google home mini devices (1.56.282045) and one google nest mini (1.54.277099) device,

and during the last 3 months or so I have the following issues:

1. When I ask something (command) near a speaker (very near around ten - fourty cm) 

randomly while my nearest speaker gets activated (I see the leds) another speaker may reply and execute the command.

2. in the same senario Multiple speakers respond ( at the same time or by a delay) executing the same command multiple times.

anyone have same issue? All speakers are in the same wifi network.

Turn your cellphone off and let me know if it fixes it.

I spoke too soon, after 5 minutes while my cellphone was off, google devices started to behave correctly. Could this be the issue? And if yes what is the viable solution?

I think Google assistant is broken on your phone and causing the speakers to screw up. Hence why I suggested turning phone off so assistant on it can't hear you. Can you check if there's any updates to the "Google App" on the play store?

the second I turned on my cellphone, google home devices started to behave randomly wrong! This makes no sense!!!!

I have all my cellphone android apps updated.

However you are correct that this is the issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course keeping my cellphone off to use my google home speakers is not a viable solution but you are correct!

Please find Google app on your phone (just Google app, not Google Home), tap and hold, go to app info, scroll down, and is the version at 13.4.16.23?

nope it is 13.3.23.23.arm64

Interesting, you are using older version of Google, but no update seems to be available?

no, I think it is country/region related (Greece), I have set language/region to english and installed 13.4.18.23.arm64 from offline apk site.  After phone reboot, so far so good. No multiple devices answer for same command, no same command executed multiple times.... However untill recently all devices worked ok with phone set to my region, I dont know what changed
