Google home "something's not right"

All of a sudden today my Google Nest speaker stopped responding to voice commands. It says sorry, something's not right. I have unplugged it for a couple minutes and plugged it back in, done a hard factory reset on it, removed it from my Google home app and reconnected, and assigned it to a new room.  I even deleted my Google home app and reinstalled it. None of this has fixed the issue. It did allow me to play Spotify through it from my phone, but after disconnecting and reconnecting it a few times it has intermittent issues. What is going on here? Any suggestions? This is the second Google device that has gone South on me, this one faster than the one before it. In contrast my Alexa in the back room is years older and works just fine. Disappointing.

Same here, it just started last week. Doesn't matter what the command, even asking the time I get I keep getting an error 'sorry something is not right, wait a few minutes and try setting up again' for every command. I have reset it and still same error.

Hi folks!

Thanks for reaching out to our community space. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by your Google Nest Speaker

To assist you with the best solution, I would like to get a bit more information:

  • May I know the model of your Google Nest Speaker?
  • Were there any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in Wi-Fi network or relocation of the device?
  • When did this behavior first begin?
  • Have you experienced any power outages in your area?
  • Have you tried connecting the Google Nest Speaker to a different power source?
  • When you open the google home app, did you see an error message on the Google Home app screen, or just when you ask something to your Google Nest Speaker?
  • What is the model of your smartphone?

By understanding these details, we can better diagnose the issue and find a solution.

Best,

Jeremy
